Transcription: Building a character in a step-by-step process is not as difficult as it may first appear. It's usually more tedious than it is complex. For example, in the game at the beginning of this issue, I sketched out the cowboy by hand in several different poses. These poses were then scanned into Photoshop and lined up so that they produced a flipbook effect. Here's how the images line up on top of each other so that when you go through them one at a time, they create the illusion of movement on the part of the character.
